Boksburg

Founded in 1887, Boksburg is Johannesburg’s second-oldest town. It is only 10 minutes away from OR Tambo International Airport and the closest Gautrain station, with numerous warehouses, freight forwarders and factories located in Jet Park. Boksburg Central gives easy access to all major Johannesburg and Pretoria highways, while Sunward Park, Parkdene and Delmore Park are well-priced options for growing families. The Wild Waters water park and East Rand Mall are the pride of Boksburg and can entertain the whole family for many hours. History

Boksburg was founded in 1887 and was considered the administrative capital of the East Rand. As the second-oldest town in Johannesburg, Boksburg was initially a gold and coal mining town and its old churches, houses and administrative buildings can still be viewed today. Today, it is a bustling eastern city and centrally located to major highways and important landmarks.
