Wendy House Sizes and Specifications
All of our Wendys and Sheds come complete with pressure treated floor bearers and framing. To protect your investment against the sun and rain, a high quality protective sealer is applied. You can select from a variety of sizes or have your Wendy house or shed built to your own specifications.
Our Standard option is constructed from 16 x 95mm tongue and groove Pine for the walls and 16mm tongue and groove Pine for the floor (available in 1.8m / 2.1m wall height). They all come complete with an 800mm wide door and a corrugated iron roof.

Floor
The floors are built of 20mm tongue and groove SA wood with 400mm spacing as a standard. The floor nails are 3 inches long. On request, floor thicknesses of 22mm and 32mm are available.
Walls – Exterior
These panels have been manufactured and prepared to withstand all forms of bad weather, such as rain, mist, and snow. The treatment will also protect the structure against all kinds of termites.
Walls – Interior
Gladding options include 16mm or 22mm knotty pine, rhino or nutec boards, or 6mm or 12mm rhino or nutec boards. Nutec boards are also waterproof, making them suitable to be used in a bathroom or toilet. In the bathroom, we can cover the walls with knotty pine and seal or paint them to the client’s specifications.
Internal walls and finishes are S5 graded 38x50mm or 38x76mm, or as specified by the customer. We can paint the inside cladding, commonly known as dry walling, to the customer’s specifications.
Door – Exterior
We offer standard double sliding doors in aluminum or standard double hardwood French doors. Alternatively, you can purchase the doors of your choice and have them installed by us.
Doors – Inside
Interior doors are standard 3,2mm hardboard and are intended for indoor use only. The frames are pine frames.
Windows
The windows are made from conventional pine timber cottage panes. Aluminum windows can also be fitted at the buyer’s request.
Ceiling
The ceiling board is placed onto the battens, which are spaced 400 mm apart, using a rhino board ceiling with bishop strips. (The insulation is installed in the ceiling cavity.) Only at the customer’s request and at an additional expense.
